Successful completion of this exam will demonstrate a candidate’s ability to understand technical and policy requirements to use defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the network to protect virtual information systems, and networks from threats. Tests, implements, deploys, maintains, reviews, and administers the infrastructure hardware and software that are required to effectively manage the computer network defense of virtual systems and resources. Monitors network and virtual devices to actively remediate unauthorized activities.
The candidate will be able to implement organizational wide and system-level security and privacy principles in the design, development, operation, and testing of virtual security and privacy controls. The candidate will be able demonstrate their ability to implement security and privacy data controls for federal information systems and other organizations.
